Service Information Update
East Side Motorwerx, operated by long-time ESS mechanic, Chris "Rooster" Reagan, is now an authorized Genuine service center! So, although Genuine has not yet made any definitive plans for a new dealer in the area, you can have your Buddys, Stellas, Blurs and other Genuine scooters serviced through East Side Motorwerx -- including WARRANTY service! Of course, Chris is familiar with all the major makes and brands, and we encourage you to give him a call for all your scooter and motorcycle service needs.

East Side Scooters Closing
We regret to announce that East Side Scooters is closing on Saturday, October 8th, 2011.
We very much appreciate every one of our customers, and the support you have each given ESS over the years. We thank all of you for your continued understanding through what is a time we had hoped would never come. As most of you know, consumer demand is presently very weak in our economy, and as much as we would love to continue running the shop, we have determined that we must close, at last.
In coming days, we will be announcing special closeout deals (remaining stocks of helmets, jackets and accessories now 50% off until they are gone) , as well as sources for parts and service on all our scooter lines. We will be working with our vendors to try to secure qualified and trustworthy local businesses that can service and support your scooters in the future. We will be making announcements about those businesses here on the web site, soon, so that you can continue to enjoy your quality Genuine, SYM, Lance and Kymco scooters without unnecessary interruptions or delays. So please, continue to visit the web site to get updates on this important information.
It is our hope to always be involved with the incredible and amazing Nashville scooter community. Our passion is scooters, and we love people who love scooters -- and we always will. We wouldn't trade the past four years for anything, and we hope we have touched your lives as much as you have ours in that time.

Upcoming Events at ESS
The weather is improving... looks
like "blackberry winter" is over, and we have lots of nice riding weather to come. So, with
that in mind, we have a couple of announcements.
WHAT: East Side Scooters Fourth Anniversary Ride
WHEN, WHERE: Sunday, 5/29/2011 -- meet at ESS at 2:00 p.m., "stands up" at 2:30
p.m.
The Anniversary Ride is an annual tradition here at ESS. We'll be leaving the shop at
2:30 p.m., riding through downtown Nashville, down West End to Belle Meade, and into Percy
Warner Park. This event is 50cc-friendly, so spread the word... all riders welcome! After the
ride, we may stop at Bongo Java (Belmont) for refreshments. Please arrive fueled up and ready
to ride at 2:30!
WHAT: Mods and Rockers 2011
WHEN, WHERE: Saturday, 6/11/2011. East Side Scooters and Tennessee British
Motorcycle -- scooters ("Mods") will meet at ESS @ 2:00 p.m. for the first ride of the
day. Stands-up at 3 p.m., and after the ride is completed, we'll rendezvous with the Rockers
at ESS for food from The Grilled Cheeserie, and live music from Milktooth, featuring
scooterist Zac Stred on bass. A second night ride is scheduled at 10:00 p.m. for a skyline
tour of Nashville.

Spring Super Sale

Springs where will eat and hang out.

New Arrival: Lance Cali Classic 125
 After several years of looking for a
high-quality scooter at a great price, we've finally found a winner: The Lance Cali Classic 125.
Lance has traditionally
worked with mainland Chinese manufacturers such as Znen. Now, however, Lance has formed an
alliance with Sanyang Industry Co. Ltd. of Taiwan to bring this incredible new 125cc scooter
to the U.S.
Utilizing Sanyang's extensive ceramics technology, this 124.6cc engine
produces the same horsepower output as the Znen 150cc engine, and the longevity of the
cylinder should exceed that of non-ceramic-lined cylinders.
Gone is the old-style
leading link front suspension, replaced by a modern telescopic dual fork front end, with a
front disc brake and a 12" aluminum front wheel. The Cali Classic also features underseat
storage, an automatic CVT transmission, electric and kickstart, and comes in a variety of

New Features, New Facebook

Now that we're back and in the new year of 2010, we're moving right along
with several projects (in between times where it gets nice enough to ride, of course).
First off, we're in the process of making
some 360° Demo videos for many of our scooters to help people discover the important features of each scooter,
and for those who haven't been in, to let those folks get a good look at each one, as well. Check out our Scooters page to see the 360° Demo

Going To The Dogs
 Just a reminder of the Hot Dog Run, starting tomorrow,

the big news is, if we can get 50 or more riders to
participate, we'll draw from the participants to give away a Fulmer AF-D4 full-face helmet (shown at left with optional mirrored face

Cold Weather and Hot Dogs
 Yes, we have no bananas, but everyone likes a good
hot dog... which is why we're stealing Jason's idea for a Hot Dog Run (with his blessing), on Saturday, November
21, starting here at East Side Scooters at 11:30 a.m.
We're still putting the details together for the ride, but we have four of Nashville's
finest hot dog purveyors lined up, with a possible fifth to be added. Stay tuned here at the
