Where: East Side Scooters (or meet at the Shell station beside the Loveless Cafe before 2:30 p.m.)
We plan on riding up the Trace to Leiper's Fork and coming back down to the Loveless Cafe for dinner for those who are hungry. We would love a rough estimate of those who would like to stay for dinner so we may notify the cafe ahead of time, so if this is something you want to do, please RSVP via e-mail! Viva Italia

New Arrival: Lance Cali Classic 125
 After several years of looking for a high-quality scooter at a great price, we've finally found a winner: The Lance Cali Classic 125.
Lance has traditionally worked with mainland Chinese manufacturers such as Znen. Now, however, Lance has formed an alliance with Sanyang Industry Co. Ltd. of Taiwan to bring this incredible new 125cc scooter to the U.S.
Utilizing Sanyang's extensive ceramics technology, this 124.6cc engine produces the same horsepower output as the Znen 150cc engine, and the longevity of the cylinder should exceed that of non-ceramic-lined cylinders.
Gone is the old-style leading link front suspension, replaced by a modern telescopic dual fork front end, with a front disc brake and a 12" aluminum front wheel. The Cali Classic also features underseat storage, an automatic CVT transmission, electric and kickstart, and comes in a variety of colors. Retail price is only $1999!

Contest and Freebies
We know some of you folks can't stay off two wheels, even when it snows -- we've seen some of the photos on facebook, y'know?
So, we're going to give away one SMS helmet to the craziest winter scooter picture submitted to us (either via e-mail or on our facebook wall between now and March 15, 2010. Two caveats: You must own the rights to the photo, and you must give us permission to use it on our web site in order to claim the SMS helmet.
Also, through March 15, if you buy a liter of any Motul oil, we'll give you a free balaclava to keep your face warm in this unseasonable cold we've been having.

New Features, New Facebook
... and Happy New February, to you, as well!
Now that we're back and in the new year of 2010, we're moving right along with several projects (in between times where it gets nice enough to ride, of course).
First off, we're in the process of making some 360° Demo videos for many of our scooters to help people discover the important features of each scooter, and for those who haven't been in, to let those folks get a good look at each one, as well. Check out our Scooters page to see the 360° Demo videos for the Genuine Buddy, Genuine Stella, Kymco People 150 and Kymco Xciting 500Ri.
 And yes, we're now on facebook! Many of you have asked us, "When are you going to start a facebook page?" Well, the answer is now! So, feel free to check out our page, and send us a friend request so we can add you to our list of facebook friends.
If you haven't heard, Genuine is getting ready to roll out the 4-stroke Stella very soon, now. If you or someone you know is looking for a 2-stroke Stella, please remind them that time is growing short to snap up a new one... and we have two currently on our floor.
Also on the horizon is the fuel-injected Genuine Blur 220. More details will be posted here, as they come in.

Going To The Dogs
 Just a reminder of the Hot Dog Run, starting tomorrow, Saturday 11/21 @ 11:30 a.m. at East Side Scooters... the big news is, if we can get 50 or more riders to participate, we'll draw from the participants to give away a Fulmer AF-D4 full-face helmet (shown at left with optional mirrored face shield, not included), perfect for colder-weather riding! If we reach that 50-rider mark, the winner will have their choice of any solid color Fulmer AF-D4 helmet, in any size.
So be sure to tell your friends -- let's get at least 50 riders, so we can give away this great helmet! Tomorrow's weather is supposed to be AWESOME, so come hungry, and let's go check out Nashville's best hot dog eateries!

Cold Weather and Hot Dogs
 Yes, we have no bananas, but everyone likes a good hot dog... which is why we're stealing Jason's idea for a Hot Dog Run (with his blessing), on Saturday, November 21, starting here at East Side Scooters at 11:30 a.m.
We're still putting the details together for the ride, but we have four of Nashville's finest hot dog purveyors lined up, with a possible fifth to be added. Stay tuned here at the web site, follow our Tweets on Twitter, or if you're on our mailing list, check your e-mail for more details... coming soon. And may the best dog win!
